Presenting the Fornasetti ceramic heritage in combination both with well-known
and less familiar decorative images.
Architectural details, butterflies, facial expressions, suns, owls and monkeys
capture the imagination and open up the realm of dreams.
The collection encompasses various home scenting devices from the ubiquitous scented candle
and boxed incense sticks through to room sprays and ceramic globe diffusers – used for incense,
perfumed oil or scented rocks.
Each object has a clearly defined purpose and can be re-used, given an alternative use,
or added to a Fornasetti collection.
Available exclusively at 10 Corso Como
from Friday 24th September

The collection takes its name from the designer’s own initials in the reverse;
totally personal and entirely universal.
All tailored pieces are offered in two silhouettes:
one sculpted, the other contemporary and straight.
The colour palette was inspired by the film “Noir” in the 1940’s
and was constructed with the concept of unconscious co-ordination.
Throwing any of the pieces together will create a matching ensemble.
The materials are of the most exquisite luxury fabrics
- twills from England, cashmere from Italy -
but expressed in an understated way.

Loretta Lux uses the magic of contemporary photographic techniques
to transform one image into another.
Having studied painting before taking up photography,
Loretta Lux’s careful analysis of classic portrait painting
has inspired the balance between a clearly fixed portrait composition
and the application of cutting edge photographic technology.
Contemporary children pose for her photos but dressed as though
they come from the past; they are placed in backgrounds
so calm and peaceful that the lack of movement gradually becomes alienating.
Loretta Lux is a master at preserving an intense calm while creating an undercurrent
of disturbing emotions.

Pillow-form outcrops of padding placed on shoulders and bodices
are the essence of Rei Kawakubo’s collection
for winter 2010.
The Shiro Kuramata flower vases translate the acrylic materials
into a poetic object d’art.
