Sunday from my desk

This week I am finally sending to print my book on the first
two decades of the Galleria Carla Sozzani. I have changed my mind so many times, traveled back and forth in time through so many lives, events, emotions and all of the people that have been the fabric of this adventure here at 10 Corso Como.

Prada Modernism
The quintessence of fashion modernism.
Miuccia Prada’s irony is well expressed
in the slightly sixties silhouettes.
Big sheer, colored sequins appliqué dresses
and the girls walking out with a little bag clutched under their arms.
From Tuesday 2nd November 2011 at 10 Corso Como.
SUNDAY FROM MY DESK
Sitting in Milan now I am watching the rain and I realize how immediate our own responses are to what is in front of us.
The tragedy in Liguria almost blots out a week of great beauty for me until now.
Lorenzo Mattotti – Venezia
Lorenzo Mattotti is one of the best known Italian artists,
who devoted himself to comics illustration since the late ’70s.
Venezia represents his personal vision of the city,
a collection of drawings with different techniques.
“In my first stories I thought I was influenced by Milan,
by Bovisa, but actually, going back to Venice,
I realized that this was the source of the distortions of my spaces,
the crooked streets, the long perspectives, the bridges…”
Venezia is a limited edition book of 99 copies
with engravings numbered and signed by the artist.
