Robert Polidori Opening
On Saturday 15th January, Robert Polidori opened
his personal exhibition entirely focused on
the powerful beauty of the Palace of Versailles.
A selection of 35 large-scale photographs document
the renovation of the most famous palace in France.
A great success confirming the interest in the work
of the Canadian photographer, who explored the 25 years of progresses
in the restoration of the magnificent royal residence of Louis XIV.

Danish eyewear designers Orgreen joined forces with
furniture specialist Fritz Hansen to produce
a limited edition of Arne Jacobsen Swan chairs
featuring the Copenhagen skyline.
A perfect match to the pure and coloured shapes of Shiro Kuramata Flower Vases
and the superbly tailored classic dresses by Azzedine Alaia.

Versailles by Robert Polidori focuses
on the powerful beauty of the Palace of Versailles.
A selection of 35 large-scale photographs
that Robert Polidori captured over a span of 25 years
addressing the conservation of the lavish palace.
Robert Polidori explores the idea of presenting
the interior of a room as a means of insight
into the soul of those who inhabited them.
With this project the photographer challenges
the idea of restoring the palace to its original state.
For Polidori, Versailles is not so much genuinely old
but a constant re-fabrication of the old
in order to keep the past alive.
